* To follow the remaining steps you will need a hard flat surface, ideally as large as your screen door, with room to work at the bottom of the host screen.

1 - Lay the host screen, with pet screen attached by means of flat bars, on a flat surface with the screen side up. The host screen material must be over the top of the pet screen.

2 - Utilizing the spline tool and spline provided in the A-Plus Pet Screen Door package, you must roll the host screen material into the pet screen spline groove.

Using the spline to cushion the host screen material as well as to lock it into place, use great care to ensure spline tool does not cut host screen material.

3 - Start at the top outside corner with the spline positioned so there is enough spline to roll the full length of both grooves. With firm downward pressure, roll the concave wheel of the spline roller back and forth on top of the spline in a one inch area. Once the screen material and the spline are forced into the groove you may continue rolling along the groove, taking care to keep the screen material straight.
See Figure 6

* Note: If there are "slack" spots or "bubbles" in the edges of the host screen material, you may remedy the situation by pulling slightly on excess screen while working spline tool carefully back and forth in the general area opposite "bubble."

4 - Once the host screen material is fully rolled in to your satisfaction, you may trim the excess material with the razor blade provided.

5 - Re-install your screen and sit back. You can now enjoy watching you pet travel in and out with no bother to you.
